About my consultations

Astrology is a fantastic tool, to assist personal development and to guide the timing of significant life actions. My goal is to help you achieve better insight into yourself and your current life situation, so you can live more consciously and make more informed decisions.

For our consultation, I use specific details of your birth—date, place, and exact time—to calculate your birthchart, a map of where the planets were when you were born. This provides a basic blueprint of the potentials intrinsic to your personality, the fortuitous gifts and inner conflicts.

Then I look at where the planets are now, and how their current positions trigger certain dynamics in your birthchart. This shows me what's currently going on in your life, what auspicious growth opportunities or challenging circumstances are likely to arise in specific areas, such as relationships, career, money, family and home life.

I combine my extensive knowledge, experience and intuition in interpreting what I see in your chart, and I communicate my observations in clear concise terms. Throughout the consultation, you are encouraged to ask questions and contribute ideas in a confidential, supportive dialogue.


Consultation options

Consultations are available both face-to-face and over the phone. I'm located in San Francisco, CA, and occasionally travel.

Standard Session ($110)—I'm happy to tailor the session to address specific questions or issues, or I'll focus on what I consider to be most significant and timely. Lasts approximately 60 mins. [buy now]

Relationship Session ($155)—I'll look at the charts of two individuals (and charts cast for important dates, such as anniversaries) to interpret the dynamics of the relationship and what's going on in it now. Great for couples, friends, parents and children, or business associates. Lasts approximately 75-90 mins. [buy now]

How to book a consultation

1. To calculate your birthchart, I will need the following information from you: birthdate, place of birth (city or town) and exact birth time. Yes, exact birth time (or within 5-10 mins.) is crucial for experiencing the maximum benefits of astrology. Without reliable birth info, it is difficult for an astrologer to provide the most specific, accurate insight possible.

2. Contact me via email (barry@astrobarry.com) or phone (415-242-4273) to make an appointment. Please have your birth information and any specific questions or issues you want me to focus on during the consultation.

3. For phone readings, I must receive payment in advance (by credit card via PayPal, or by cash/check through the mail) before I can set your appointment, and you are responsible for any long-distance charges incurred.


On predicting the future

No astrologer can concretely predict the future, and there's an obvious reason for that. The future has not yet been written. We are its authors, and we haven't finished writing. We all possess free will to do what we want when we want, to create different outcomes based on our actions and timing… and to effectively change the future.

However, astrology does offer amazingly accurate 'heads-ups' about upcoming periods of good luck, easy opportunity or potentially difficult challenge. This includes specific information about what areas of life—such as finances, relationships, career or home life—will likely be affected, and what type of effects to expect. Then, it's up to you to make your future happen the way you want.
